George Mueller (1805-1898)
George Mueller was a prussian born pastor who
lived his life relying entirely on God to meet his needs. He has been quoted
as one of the mightiest men of faith, and never asking anyone for anything,
who by his faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ and the promises of God, obtained
the English equivalent of $7,000,000.00 by prayer alone for the building
and maintaining of orphan homes.
It is said that he would search the scriptures
for days before he presented his petition to God. And then when he found
the promise, with his open Bible before him, and his finger upon that promise,
he would plead that promise, and so he received what he asked. He always
prayed with an open Bible before him."
He wrote a famous book called A Narrative of Some
of the Lord's Dealings with George Müller, by George Müller
I read the first part online and thinking that it was over was thrilled
to find three more parts to it. This man was a fantastic example of Gods
grace and kindness being played out in ones life.
When will we all learn that the key to life is
too just simply trust the LORD...
Hebrews 13:7-9
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of
God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their
faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
